So you’ve got the psychic job itch. You have the gift, the psychic powers and you’re ready to use them to do good things. You want to use these enhanced communications powers to provide psychic guidance and direction.
There’s just one problem. Or maybe two.
Problem one is that you don’t think you can earn a living by running your own psychic business, whether it’s online, over the phone, through the mail, face to face or some combination of all those options.
Problem two is the skeptics and naysayers. Once you’ve got the doubt in problem one, the voices of problem two are going to do nothing but amplify it. You can just hear them. Psychic employment? You’ll have more luck importing penguin eggs at Easter.
The good news is that with a little bit of patience and discipline, both of these issues can be successfully eliminated. And the bonus is, the process of eradicating them will strengthen you for the long run.
Let’s take the second problem first. The naysayers – the doubters – that chorus of skeptics that loves nothing more than to put down psychic mediums and psychic healers everywhere. Under the guise of sophistication and education, they’ll subtly try – and not so subtly try – to brand you a fraud.
You aren’t.
The decision to go public with your psychic skill sets is a big deal. You’re taking a precious and highly sensitive part of your self into the world. You’re going to use it for good – you aren’t coming to rip people off – but it can still leave you a little raw. You’re going to need a thick skin. And one of the best ways to handle this is to see all skeptics for what they really are – people in need of healing. And we don’t heal them by fighting them or kowtowing to them or even by ignoring them. More than anything, they need us to own our craft and our inner wisdom and bear it proudly before them. Doesn’t matter if they seem to get it. It’s the power of example. Somebody will see it.
You’re always a light.
And that will go a long way to putting a dent into the first issue. Whether you can run a full-time psychic business is a big question. It has to do with markets, the range of your psychic talent, your personal burnout point, and your financial goals and needs. But never doubt that you’re bringing something from yourself into the world that the world needs. You are gifting the world. You are participating without equivocation in one of the world’s oldest and truest laws – those who give, receive.
So take that first step. Be that light. And yeah – make a living while you’re at it.
